SGS boxers make it through to the finals

boxing 1Three SGS College boxers have gone through to the  National Association of Boys and Girls Clubs  Boxing Championships finals, after competing in the semi-final this weekend in Portsmouth.

Natalie Craig aged 17 and 18 year old Jacob Croot will contest in the Class A final in Croydon on Thursday, and 16 year old Elizabeth Bools from Trowbridge Boxing club, will contest in the Class B final at SGS WISE Campus on Friday.

Elizabeth Bools said: “I am really excited, I ’ve worked so hard for these championships, and am determined to do well. ”

AASE Coach Craig Turner said: “This is a prestigious title due to a large National entry.   The Boys Clubs Championships have been around since the 1940 ’s and some of the country ’s leading names began their elite careers in them.   I ’m confident the guys will perform well. ”  

“I am also delighted to host another top level championship here at SGS WISE.   National level  amateur boxing taking place at SGS proves our worth as a leading sport education establishment. ”
