SHOPPERS CELEBRATE NEW SHOPPING EXPERIENCE

Customers in Bradley Stoke eagerly gathered to be amongst the first to benefit from changes at Tesco.

Yesterday saw the launch of four national brands inside the Tesco Extra store at Bradley Stoke District Centre. The store now boasts a Dorothy Perkins, Burtons, Evans and Claire s Accessories

The new brands will add to the stores already diverse offering and customer experience. The store already features a Pharmacy, Petrol Forecourt, F+F clothing range and Phone shop.

Store Manager, Kevin Vickery said: “These new additions will turn our store into a one stop shop for our customers. The new retail offering adds even more convenience to our customer s weekly shopping needs. ”

The store held a relaunch ceremony on Monday 2nd November, which included a ribbon cutting ceremony, champagne, orange juice and Tesco branded cake. The store also invited the local community and organisations to share in its celebrations.

Customers have had the opportunity to nominate a worthy local charity as part of the instore Helping Hand competition. Over the last four weeks customers have been voting for their favourite charity to receive a share in a £1,500 prize.

Colleagues have also had the opportunity to nominate a worthy local charity as part of an internal competition. The colleagues have been voting for their favourite local charity to receive a share in a £1,500 prize and three winning charities are Friends of Charborough Road School, Safe Space and Harriers Gymnastics Club.

Becky Price, Chair at Friends of Charborough Road School said “We re so grateful to be nominated to receive this donation. This money will go towards purchasing a playground for the school. We d like to thank the Tesco Extra store at Bradley Stoke and all those in the community who nominated us! ”

Sarah Bateman at Harriers Gymnastics said “This donation will be going towards a new raised spring floor for our gymnasts to practise on. Thank you to all the colleagues at Tesco Extra in Bradley Stoke for giving our organisation this donation. ”

Kevin Vickery, store manager, said: “I would like to thank all our colleagues here at our store and those involved  in making these wonderful changes possible. The team and I are very excited about our new shopping experience and can t wait to share our improved store with our customers! ”

The Tesco Extra in Bradley Stoke is open Sunday Midnight to Saturday Midnight and 10am until 4pm Sundays.
