Silver Duke of Edinburgh Award

BSCS are delighted to announce that their first cohort of Silver Duke of Edinburgh Award students have completed their Awards.

The seven students are picture here with Ms Jenny Sutton Kirby, Associate Headteacher and Mr Tom Hill, Post 16 Co-ordinator & Assistant to Director:-

Sophie Maxted, Sean Watts, Siobhan Fahey, Sean Fahey, Ryan Wembridge, Luke Lorenzi, Seb Jackson.

The Silver Duke of Edinburgh Award involves them completing up to twelve months in the following sections:-

Volunteering, Skills, Physical

They also completed an assessed Expedition where they navigated their group through the Forest of Dean.

BSCS currently have a new cohort of Silver D of E and their first ever cohort of Bronze D of E students working towards their awards and are very proud of the hard work and dedication that the students have shown to this very worthwhile extra curricular activity.

Their thanks go to Mr Tom Hill and Mr Angus Urquhart for supporting students through this.
