Snow Warning!

South Gloucestershire Trading Standards would like to warn residents to be on their guard for rogue traders during the current, and predicted, poor weather. Recent years have shown that following heavy frosts and snowfalls, there has been a sharp increase in rogue trading incidents across the country. Residents may receive unexpected callers at their doors offering their services to check properties for damage as a result of the ice or snow, or to clear gardens and driveways. Be Aware! Rogue traders use such tactics to extort money from residents or to gain entry into people s homes with a view to committing distraction burglaries.

If you are not expecting a caller, be suspicious.
