Special guests to mark the relaunch of local opticians

Following a state-of-the-art refit to a Bradley Stoke opticians, the team is celebrating by hosting a fun day on Saturday 15 September to raise funds for CLIC Sargent.

Customers visiting Specsavers in Bradley Stoke will be greeted by special guests, Princess Belle and Spider-Man, as they mark the launch of their new innovative store refit. People will also have the opportunity to get their faces painted and then pose for a picture with their childhood favourites during the meet and greet.  The event will offer an opportunity for locals to see the new store layout which provides a more efficient customer experience. The developments also make the store look more spacious, welcoming and modern, especially with the new up-to-date technology.

There will be a Specsavers cake, balloon arch and a green ribbon cutting to mark the launch.

‘We’re thrilled with the refurbishments here at Specsavers in Bradley Stoke,’ says store director, Ed Stanleigh. ‘The customer experience has been revolutionised and that give us a great reason to celebrate and raise even more funds for our charity partner.’

Specsavers in Cribbs Causeway, Bradley Stoke and Filton have come together and nominated CLIC Sargent as their charity of the year for 2018. In a bid to raise as much money as possible for the children’s cancer charity, staff are taking part in several fundraising challenges and hosting events throughout the year.  ‘CLIC Sargentworks tirelessly to support children and young people diagnosed with cancer,’ continues Ed. ‘Having two young children myself, I cannot imagine the devastation a cancer diagnosis would bring or how people cope as a family, so it’s great to know CLIC Sargent exist to support those going through this.’

With 11 young people being diagnosed with cancer daily, 11 more families could benefit from the service CLIC Sargent offer. The funds raised will help to improve the quality of life of families and patients right from the point of diagnosis all the way through to recovery or bereavement.
