Sponsored Cycle Ride by St Mary’s Old Boys RFC

St Mary’s Old Boys RFC have arranged a sponsored cycle ride to boost funds already raised for one of their players, who has developed a bone disease called Perthes Disease, effecting the supply of blood to the growth plate of the bone. Unfortunately, in this child’s case, the disease has been found too late and nothing can be done for him until he stops growing. He now needs a wheelchair and his house needs extensive modifications so life can be made easier at home. He is currently using a wheelchair which is only on loan for a finite time.The club are hoping for support from all age groups and sections with micro’s 4yrs+ to veterans cycling together for a few hours on a Saturday morning as well as anyone from outside the club who would like to join in. Start time 10am from Bristol or 10.45am from Bitton.
