Stay Strong and Steady Class Celebrates Its First Birthday

Our Stay Strong and Steady exercise class at St Michael’s Centre has officially celebrated its first birthday after a fantastic year of helping local residents build strength, balance, and confidence.

To mark the occasion, we held a special celebration following the class. After completing their exercise session, attendees enjoyed a slice of birthday cake, a cup of tea, and plenty of time to socialise. It was lovely to welcome some familiar faces who hadn’t been able to attend for a while but still came along to join the celebrations.  We were delighted to have 25 people attend, including several participants who have been with us since the very first session and continue to enjoy both the exercises and the friendly, supportive atmosphere of the group.

The class continues to grow, and there are still places available. New participants are always warmly welcomed, so if you’re looking to improve your strength and balance — or simply meet new people — please do get in touch or feel free to come along and give it a try.

Emma, the class instructor, commented: “It’s been wonderful to see the group grow stronger and gain more confidence over the past year. The exercises are just part of it,  the friendships and support everyone gives each other are what really make this class special.”

One long-standing participant shared: “I’ve been coming since day one, I remember Emma suggesting I came along and it’s been fantastic. The exercises help me stay strong and steady, and I love the chance to meet everyone and have a chat over tea afterwards.”
