Success for young gymnastNovember 28th, 2016
We love sharing good news stories and were therefore delighted to hear from local resident Shirley Sanchez regarding her granddaughter’s recent achievement.
Isabella took part in her first gymnastics competition along with 115 gymnasts from 11 local schools with 21 entering level 2. To compete at this level, Isabella completed a forward roll to stand, forward roll to hop, skip and a jump, springboard to star jump, jump into star and a jump into star from the horse. Executing all moves so well, she came home with a Gold medal!
At only 18months she started Gymtots through King Edmund Gymnastics and still attends Gym Fun with them on Fridays after school at the local leisure centre. However, as a student of Bradley Stoke Community School Primary Phase, Isabella joined the new after school club this September, run by Harriers Gymnastics Coach Cydnie Bateman.
Her proud Nana told us “She’s done so well and she loves going to gymnastics. It’s definitely been a confidence builder for Isabella too. She loves school and as one of the first cohort is very active with Irish dancing and drama as well as her gym club – all after school clubs”.
Congratulations Isabella!Tags: BSCS, gymnast, medal Back to news
