Summer Plans at Little Stoke Baptist Church

Just a block away from the Little Stoke Community Centre, you’ll find Little Stoke Baptist Church, on the corner of Kingsway and Collins Avenue. Because of where it is, the church has always been deeply invested in being part of the local community, and that is true today as the majority of people who attend the church do live close by.

Everyone is welcome to the church services, which take place every Sunday at 10.30am throughout the year. Facebook has up-to-date information and you can check there to find out what is going on. When you come, you’ll be welcomed at the door, and made to feel at home inside too.

Each service has the chance to get to know more about God through songs of worship, readings from the Bible, and through prayers. The prayers are for personal healing, for the community, and for peace in the wider world. As well as local people, Little Stoke BC also has people with roots in Africa, Australia, Ukraine, and other countries – so all are welcome to try us out – as the church leaflet says – ‘there is a place here for you.’

This is a church where people do find God’s deep and lasting healing in different forms, according to what is needed. That includes healing from physical ailments and healing in broken relationships, and a greater sense of identity and peace where those are hard to find in today’s world.

SUNDAYS: We are open every Sunday for a 10.30am service, with tea and biscuits afterwards.

THURSDAYS: We are open for community chat, games, clothes provision, and lunches on Thursdays, 10am to 2pm, on 6 August, 13 August, 3 September, 10 September. NB closed on 20th August and 27th August.

FOOD: For foodbank support, please come to the church on Mondays, 9am to 10am and Thursdays 10am to 11am.

As Matthew wrote in the Bible, speaking about physical and spiritual needs, ‘For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in.’
