June 10th, 2026We have had another fantastic term at Little Stoke Primary, with lots going on! From exciting classroom projects to enriching trips and special events, it has been wonderful to see our pupils so engaged and enthusiastic in their learning.
Key Stage 2 put on a wonderful performance of Peter Pan, delighting audiences with their energy, confidence, and talent. From the colourful costumes to the lively songs and acting, every pupil played their part in bringing the story to life.
The children worked incredibly hard in the weeks leading up to the performance, learning lines, practising songs, and perfecting their staging. Their dedication truly paid off, resulting in a show that was both entertaining and memorable. A big well done to all of the pupils involved, as well as to the staff who supported them behind the scenes.
It was a fantastic achievement and a highlight of the term for everyone who came to watch!

Year 3 enjoyed taking part in scooter training this term, developing their confidence and skills while learning how to stay safe on the roads. The sessions focused on balance, control, and awareness, helping pupils to understand how to use their scooters responsibly.
The children had a fantastic time practising their techniques and navigating different courses, all while building their independence. It was great to see their enthusiasm and progress throughout the training. Well done to all of Year 3 for their excellent effort and positive attitude!
Year 6 visited the Life Skills Centre this term, where they took part in a range of practical and engaging activities designed to prepare them for everyday situations. The visit provided valuable opportunities for pupils to learn about personal safety, decision making, and how to respond in different real-life scenarios.
Throughout the sessions, the children showed great maturity and enthusiasm, asking thoughtful questions and fully engaging with each activity. It was a highly informative experience that will support them as they continue to grow in independence.
Well done to Year 6 for representing the school so positively!
Years 3 and 4 enjoyed a fantastic visit to Slimbridge Wetland Centre this term, where they had the opportunity to explore a wide variety of habitats and wildlife. The trip brought their learning to life, allowing pupils to observe different bird species up close and learn about the importance of conservation.
The children took part in engaging activities, including guided walks and interactive sessions, which helped deepen their understanding of the natural world. They showed great curiosity, asking thoughtful questions and demonstrating excellent behaviour throughout the day.
It was a memorable experience for all involved and a wonderful way to enrich their classroom learning.
EYFS and Year 1 enjoyed a wonderful trip to visit Farmer Ed at Court Farm. The children had a fantastic time exploring the farm, meeting a variety of animals, and learning about life on a working farm.
Farmer Ed made the visit especially engaging, sharing his knowledge and encouraging the children to get involved in hands-on activities. From feeding animals to learning where food comes from, the experience brought their learning to life in a fun and memorable way.
The children were a credit to the school, showing enthusiasm, curiosity, and excellent behaviour throughout the day. It was a truly enjoyable trip for everyone involved!
