THE ANNUAL ROTARY WYE RUN
April 3rd, 2015
We all love a good drive and so here is an opportunity to enjoy some great scenery and an enjoyable day out with the family. The success and popularity of the last 11 Classic Car Runs organised by the Rotary Club of Chepstow & District has led to this event becoming a welcome addition to the calendar for classic car enthusiasts.
Those wishing to take part in the next event, to be staged on Saturday 02 May 2015, are now invited to reserve their place. The Wye Run will set off from Chepstow Garden Centre and end at a surprise venue.
The route has been carefully selected, keeping to lesser-used scenic roads through the Wye Valley AONB, the Forest of Dean and the Brecon Beacons.
Entrants should arrive at The Garden Centre before 8.30am for a 9.00am start. Bring your own lunch or picnic and stop to enjoy the view where you please along the route. You may choose to dine out, since there are a variety of eating places along the way. This non-competitive event is for classic and interesting cars and the people who enjoy using them.
The aim of the Club is to provide a memorable and leisurely drive through our lovely countryside, to provide onlookers with the spectacle of interesting cars, and to raise money for worthwhile charities supported by the Rotary Club of Chepstow & District.
Entry this year will be limited to about 80 cars. The entry fee is £25 for each car for which you will receive full route instructions and a Monte Carlo style Rally Plaque . Simply complete and forward the application form that is on the Rotary Club site chepstowrotary.org.uk together with your cheque.
