Bradley Stoke 1st suffered a humbling defeat to Pak Bristolians on Saturday losing to the visitors by 79 Runs. Pak Bristolians batted first on a slightly damp track but managed to post 230 for 8 off of their 45 Overs. Muzharshah top scoring with 56 runs for the visitors. On a drying pitch Bradley Stoke would have been hopeful of chasing the target down. But a combination of bad batting and some good bowling from Qasir (5/50) left the home side 151 all out with skipper Dan Peachey and Graham Purnell top scoring with 32 each.
It was happier news for the 2nds who beat Pak Bristolians 2nds by 8 wickets. Top of the table Stoke lost the toss and were asked to field by the home side who must by the end of the innings regretted their decision. With some economical bowling from Lee Prinsloo (3/16)and Dan Tobin (3/16) Bradley Stoke reduced their opponents to 86 all out. With A Cooper picking up 2 wickets and B Radford picking up 1. The target was chased down with ease with Bradley Stoke cruising home at 90 for 2 off of 13.5 Over s. Paul Peterson 39 No and Captain G Price with 29 not out.
The 3rds were home to Winterbourne B who batted 1st and scored 114 for 7 off of their 45 overs. Martin Prinsloo collecting match figures of 2/27 off of his 9 overs. However the run chase started very badly for the home side losing their top six batsman for a combined total of 23 runs. They nearly recovered to win it with Ben Phillips smashing 37 but eventually BS were bowled out for 111 with 3 balls of the innings left.
The 4ths beat YMCA 5th by 91 runs with G Wentland going past 50 for the away team and R Davis contributing 32 to Bradley Stokes total of 175 all out. YMCA were never in the game and were eventually dismissed for 84 with the wickets being shared around.
