Thumbs Up from Parents and Children for New Labrynth Softplay

Scores of excited young children and their parents queued patiently at Bradley Stoke Leisure Centre this morning to be amongst the very first users of the brand new £50,000 soft play area, which opened with a colourful Fun Day today.

A green dragon, dashing knight and medieval princess greeted visitors with helium balloons, badges and goody bags.  With an Easter Egg hunt and free face painting too, there was a great atmosphere and a real sense of anticipation.

Inside the new Labrynth soft play area, adults were impressed to see how spacious, light and airy the re-designed space now appears. Smart tables and chairs along two sides of the play area provide plenty of room for onlookers and an opportunity for parents and carers to enjoy a drink or snack while overseeing their childrens’ play. Coloured lighting adds to the atmosphere.

Vicky from Broad Croft gave us her first impressions of the new play facility: “It’s really fab! It’s very colourful and open, especially for the toddlers; really fun and educational too. I especially like the seating area which is really useful and has lots of room for buggies.  Now it’s a space for adults, not just for children. It’s so comfy and inviting.”

We were impressed by the number of special and interesting features of the soft play area. It’s impressive just how much they have been able to pack into the space, for varied forms of play. We particularly liked the double slide, the climbing wall and the large, open space for toddlers to play safely away from the older children.

Your very own Matters Magazines is delighted to be sponsoring this new soft play area and we’re sure it will prove incredibly popular with local residents young and not-so-young.

The Leisure Centre is also running a colouring competition for children – leaflets are available from the Leisure Centre today.
