Update from BSTFC
September 20th, 2015Senior Division of the Bristol and District football league having been confirmed champions of Division One in the last week of last season. The standard of teams now arriving at the Jubilee Centre will be a lot higher and it will be a rollercoaster ride coming to terms with this new level.
It s been a mixed start to the season so far with the first 3 matches resulting in a draw, a loss and a win! Manager Jon Welsh is confident that his team will hold their own and his ambition is to carry on the momentum from last year and challenge at the top.
Returning to the team and the club are players Stuart Pyett and Andy Turner, with Duncan Reade moving from Mendip FC. Rick Woodland, an important player for the team last season, has had to step down due to work and travel commitments.
Manager Jon Welsh has only a small squad and is always looking to promote players from the other teams within the club but any new players are always welcome. Training, fixtures are available on the BSTFC website but you can also follow the clubs exploits on twitter and of course in Bradley Stoke Matters! Local support at matches is very much welcomed, homes matches are played at the Jubilee Green and the bar is open after the match.
