Willow Brook Launches Major Uniform Reuse Drive
July 29th, 2026Willow Brook Shopping Centre is launching a new School Uniform Recycling Scheme this summer, offering families a simple, sustainable and dignified way to access good-quality school clothing.
From the start of the summer holidays, local residents will be able to drop off outgrown or unused school uniform at Willow Brook, where it will be professionally laundered by Timpson before being made available to families who need it.
The recycled uniform will be displayed in a quiet, discreet area of the centre, allowing parents and carers to help themselves without any cost or formality.
The initiative is being delivered in partnership with Bradley Stoke Town Council, who are generously providing clothing rails and storage systems to support the project.
Donations can be placed in the dedicated uniform donation box located in the Town Square lobby.
Willow Brook asks that all donated items are in a reusable condition.
The centre will be collecting uniform for 14 local schools, including:
• Bradley Stoke Community School and Primary Phase
• Wheatfield Primary School
• Bowsland Green Primary School
• Holy Trinity Primary School
• Meadowbrook Primary School
• St Mary’s Catholic Primary School
• Baileys Court Primary School
• Stoke Lodge Primary School
• Little Stoke Primary School
• Charlton Wood Primary Academy
• St Chad’s Patchway CE Primary School
• Patchway Community College
• Callicroft Primary Academy
Centre Manager Ben Matthews said:
“Shopping centres are about more than just shops – they’re community spaces, and this project is a great example of that. By bringing together local residents, schools and partners, we’re creating a practical way to support families, reduce waste and make sure good-quality school uniform stays in use for as long as possible.
The success of the scheme relies on the generosity of local people donating items they no longer need, and we hope it will become a valuable resource for any family who could benefit from a little extra support.”
The scheme aims to reduce waste, ease financial pressure on families and strengthen community support networks across Bradley Stoke and the surrounding area.
