Winterbourne International Academy takes part in World Record attempt

world record swap

As part of National Libraries Day, schools from across the UK  were  attempting to break the record for the number of books swapped in one day. Over 70 schools were taking part across the country  to beat the current record of 2868 book swapped within an eight-hour period.

The main focus of the attempt is to raise awareness of school libraries and generate excitement about discovering new books.

At Winterbourne International Academy,  staff and students have been swapping books throughout the day within  the Learning Resource Centre ,which opened as part of the new build in September 2014.
