Y6 Pupils Give Helping Hand To Shoppers
November 19th, 2010
Shoppers at the Bradley Stoke Tesco store had many pairs of helping hands at their disposal this evening.
Year 6 pupils from Meadowbrook Primary School were on the checkouts between 4pm and 6pm to offer shoppers some help packing their bags, whilst at the same time accepting donations towards their Year 6 Fundraising. The pupils hope to organise an end-of-year celebration, to mark the end of their time at primary school. With 48 children in the year and hopes of a not-to-be-forgotten day out and evening party, there is still plenty of fundraising to be done.
Ten 10-and eleven-year-olds manned the checkouts at a time, chatting to customers and working hard! The pupils enjoyed the experience, and were really pleased at the generosity of many people.
Sincere thanks from the Year 6 fundraising committee to everyone at Tesco for allowing the pupils to do their bag-packing stint, and for making the children feel so welcome.
