Young People Can Do Wonderful Things

Dreamscheme is a community youth development scheme based on a simple concept of WORK > POINTS > TRIPS. Young people are enabled to carry out community-based work projects for which they earn points. Points can be exchanged for trips or activities of their choice.

Dreamscheme is now running in Bradley Stoke this summer holiday, for 8-16yr olds funded by Knightstone housing. We have worked with a group of young dreamschemers to form a Core group. They have identified volunteering work that they and other young people can do to make a difference.

The benefits of Dreamscheme are: Uses the energy of young people in a positive way; Gives them a sense of purpose; Makes young people a valued part of their community; Assist in young peoples personal development; Promotes volunteering; Provides positive engagement between agencies and community members.

Volunteers – CRB checked volunteers interested in rolling their sleeves up and helping with the work and reward activities are welcome to become involved, please contact us!

For further information about the summer programme, visit www.southernbrooks.org.uk/dreamscheme    It is a requirement of the scheme that parental consent forms are brought along to all activities. You can also download a CONSENT FORM from the website.
