Work to maintain the marshland area. All workdays start at 10 am and finish at 4 pm, but you are welcome to leave earlier if needed. Wear old clothes and stout boots and bring a packed lunch. We provide all the equipment needed plus the essential tea, coffee and biscuits! Our usual meeting point is our tool store, which is behind the Bradley Stoke Leisure Centre, Fiddlers Wood Lane, Bradley Stoke, BS32 9BS. If you are coming by car, park in the leisure centre car park. Follow the road behind the centre (past the skate park) through the steel gates and our tool store is the green freight container on the right. From 11am-4pm Part of South Gloucestershire's Discover Festival. Come and see traditional cider making using a Victorian horse-powered stone apple mill, and taste the results! Pigs, geese, ducks, and this year the Winterbourne Llamas on show. Celebrate and discover the bounty of local orchards, locally-produced food and drink, and local crafts and rural skills. Enjoy hot burgers, cold ice cream, beer, cider, tea and cakes, and watch Winterbourne Down Border Morris or play Skittles. And of course marvel at the work of the medieval craftsmen who built the magnificent Barn. There will also be a variety of children's activities to choose from relating to fruit and wildlife. Admission £2 for adults, free for under 16s. There will be a parking charge of £2 per vehicle, which will be collected by Paul’s Place, a local charity for disabled people.
