A warm welcome awaits and everyone is welcome. For those who arrive early one of our famous bacon rolls is a must, or perhaps you would prefer toast and jam or a tea cake? A selection of toys is available for our younger visitors who are always welcome. Although no charge is made a donation box is provided for those who would like support our continuing effort with this community activity.

Pulling rubbish out of the streams. All workdays start at 10 am and finish at 4 pm, but you are welcome to leave earlier if needed. Wear old clothes, suitable weatherproof/warm outer layers and stout boots and bring a packed lunch. We provide all the equipment and training needed plus the essential tea, coffee and biscuits! The Picnic in the Park starts at 09.30 a.m until approximately 1.00 p.m at the Jubilee Centre, for Parents/Carers and Toddlers/Babies. Professor Panic presents his range of circus skills in the Big Top, alongside Steve the Bubbleman and bouncy castle. Refreshments will be served. The Friends of Jubilee Green will be running a family Treasure Trail during the morning.

BRADLEY STOKE COMMUNITY FESTIVAL4958
The demonstration area in Jubilee Green this year features a Model Aircraft Display, a Falconry Display and a Dog Agility team. Music is provided by local bands; Astral Toasters, Obsidian, Goodnight Lois, Resplendent, Gecko Blasters and the Bradley Stoke Community School band; performing alongside local dance groups and associations. Fun rides for the children include trampolines, inflatables, football games, activities, longbow archery, mini quads and the Vertical Xtreme climbing wall. Bristol Zoo will be providing a “tropical” collection of bugs and insects, with a storytelling session for the younger children from the BS Library. South Gloucestershire 2013 Legacy, Run, Jump & Throw Road Show for people of all ages to test their skills and abilities across the range of athletic competition in a safe environment, participants will receive a record of their achievements with the top five in each event being invited to a finals event in September. Sideshows, arts & crafts and community stalls will offer a wide range of local products and novelties. The Bradley Stoke Youth FC Football Tournament for Year 1 Boys starts at 10.30 a.m. on the top soccer pitches.

ANNUAL BSYFC FOOTBALL FESTIVAL5058
The Annual BSYFC Football Festival, which is part of the Bradley Stoke Town Festival will take place on the top field at the Jubilee Centre. Start time is 12 noon with first match kick off around 12.15pm. All the 140 children taking part will receive a medal and goody bag. All schools receive a cup and many prizes are on offer including full football team strips and football coaching kits.

A 10K multi terrain race organised by the Sole Sisters starts at 09.30 a.m. and finishes at the Jubilee Centre. 500 Competitors are expected. At Baileys Court an outdoor Church service starts at 11.00a.m. with competitions and entertainment and the first running of the Bradley Stoke Bed Race which will start at 1.00p.m. The BS Cricket Club will provide a BBQ + bar from 12.00 noon with a Mayor’s XI v a BSCC XI starting at 2.p.m. finishing with evening entertainment in the clubhouse. The BS Bowls club will provide roll up demonstrations throughout the afternoon.

The Bradley Stoke W.I was formed in November 2004 and meets on the second Wednesday of each month at the Jubilee Centre,Savages Wood Road, Bradley Stoke at 2pm until 4pm, when we usually have a speaker. Ladies of any age can join us to enjoy 11 meetings during the year and usually an outing in August . Apart from the monthly meetings we enjoy many other activities such as Coffee Mornings, Table tennis, Book Club, Walks in the Avon area, visits to other groups in the Federation and we also have a Lunch group for ladies on their own.
