The event, which launched in 2014, is organised by Downend Police Amateur Boxing Club and is set to feature some of the country's best 11 and 12-year old boxers. Home to the Bristol Academy of Sport and the SGS Boxing Academy the WISE Campus boasts great facilities for both participants and spectators. PUBLIC LECTURE6493
The 8th AGM of Winterbourne Medieval Barn Trust will be held in the Barn at 7.30pm and will be followed by a talk from Professor Chris Dyer of Leicester University about "Medieval Peasants and their Barns" with plentiful references to Gloucestershire. Prof Dyer is a very well respected medieval historian currently working on a project entitled "Peasant farming 1200-1540" funded by the Leverhulme Trust. This will be a splendid evening do not miss it. Everybody is welcome. No entry charge but donations to the Trust would be very welcome. Refreshments will be available prior to the lecture. Provided the weather is OK, the gates will be open early for those who fancy having a summer evening picnic in the grounds beforehand.

We meet for Saturday and Sunday walks at Aztec West, Blue Zone Parking area, near the Management Centre, at the times shown for each walk, and share lifts to the start of the walk. Friday Walks, the meeting point is ALDI Car Park Bradley Stoke. Please bring packed lunch and plenty of fluids. If you want to go directly to the start of the walk, please contact the walk leader. Winterbourne Library have a regular IT volunteer who is available on Wednesday mornings between 10.00am and 12.00 noon for one hour computer support sessions. Mike is fully trained in the Learn My Way package provided by the Tinder Foundation and offering basic online training modules, but he will also offer support with a wide range of IT queries such as setting up your iPad, Universal Jobmatch, and the LibrariesWest online facilities – including Theory Test Pro and Go Citizen. Just ask a member of staff in order to book a slot with Mike.
