St Michael’s Primary School Celebrate 200 Years of Education
July 2nd, 2013
Despite grey skies and a few drops of rain there was no dampening of spirits at St Michael’s Primary C of E School Winterbourne today.
Pupils were treated to a fly past from the Red Arrows as part of their week of
celebrations for the schools 200th Anniversary, and were on their best behaviour in Victorian costumes.
The afternoon was spent playing games on the school field and having a picnic, followed by a special assembly taken by Mr Vye and two previous heads, Mr Allsop and Mr Carruthers, talking about 3 time capsules which will be buried in the school grounds.
Future activities will include a visit to Blaise Castle, and on the Friday the School will be closed for lessons and all members of the school community will be welcome to come to the school and see their work, displays and exhibitions.
