Coaching sessions are held on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 6.50pm and include rugby related training and fitness for all levels of ability. There are full facilities and equipment on site to ensure members are well looked after, with a strong ethos on enjoyment and improvement! There is also a fully qualified Physiotherapist to deal with any injury worries, treatment and advice. Rugby Seniors also benefit from free use of Riverside gym on a Thursday evening from 7pm.

Founded in 1972, Severn Counties members have kept and bred a huge range of birds over the years and 2022 is our 50th Anniversary year.
There are approximately 1 million pet birds of various species, from canaries, budgerigars and finches through to larger or more exotic species, and any bird keepers or people considering getting a pet bird are very welcome at any of our meetings, which are held at the Methodist Church Hall in Winterbourne on the third Thursday of each month at 8pm. Short Mat Bowls is a highly enjoyable, indoor version of full length flat green bowls, which is played – as the name suggests – over a shorter distance. Stoke Gifford Trust Short Mat Bowls Club is a friendly, local, indoor bowls club. Members of the Stoke Gifford club meet to play bowls three times a week (on Monday, Tuesday and Friday afternoons) in the Trust Hall on North Road.
The club hs been running for over 30 years and because the game is weatherproof, members gather to play all year round. New players, experienced or beginners, are warmly welcomed and club regulars are always happy to explain the rules and techniques to newcomers. There is a minimal cost per session, which includes refreshments half way through the afternoon.
